City of Atlanta Asks Residents to Move Abandoned Cars for Road Treatment

City of Atlanta Asks Residents to Move Abandoned Cars for Road Treatment

The City of Atlanta is shifting its focus to clean neighborhoods and side streets of the snow/ice left over from the snow storm that came in on Sunday night.  We are asking the citizens of Atlanta to immediately remove their vehicle from the city streets (both legally parked/abandoned vehicles) so efforts can be made to clean the snow/ice off the roadway.

The equipment being used is heavy equipment; if vehicles are left on the roadway they may become damaged as these trucks are attempting to clean the roadway.

Those vehicles that were left abandoned by the owners who could not negotiate the snow/ice may result in the vehicle being towed from the roadway at the owner’s expense.
