Porsche-driving suspects sought after Jeep stolen

ATLANTA -- Atlanta police are searching for suspects after a man's Jeep was stolen shortly after he arrived at a Buckhead gym Thursday morning.

It happened at around 5:45 a.m. on the top level of the parking deck at 3535 Peachtree Road NE.

The victim told police he was walking into LA Fitness when a black Porsche Panamera with four suspects inside pulled into the lot.

One of the suspects got out of the car, pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded his wallet. The victim tossed the suspect the keys to his Jeep and said all his valuables were inside. The suspect drove away in the Jeep with the Porsche following, according to Atlanta Police Officer Kim Jones.

The victim was not injured. He described the suspects as four black men. Two appeared to be in their mid-20's, while the other two looked about 12 years old, according to the victim.

Police are now working to identify the suspects and track down the stolen Jeep. Jones said the same Porsche may have been involved in a series of car break-ins overnight. At least 12 cars were hit overnight.

A home surveillance system captured one of those break-ins. The four men surrounded a car on East Brooke Terrace in southwest Atlanta and broke a window. One of the suspects was small enough that another man lifted him into the window of the car.
