Semi-annual College Prep Series to start for Atlanta students

ATLANTA -- Atlanta City Council President Caesar C. Mitchell will hod the 13th semi-annual College Prep Series on November 10, at Atlanta Technical College from 8 a.m. until noon.

Following, the 2012 College Prep Series College Fair will be on November 20, from 6 p.m. - 8:30 at Atlanta City Hall.

According to the City of Atlanta, the series offers students a free opportunity for exposure to college entrance exams in a simulated testing environment.

For the first time, Mitchell will partner with the Princeton Review to held administer the practice exams. Here, students can take the PRA, which can help determine whether they would test better on the SAT or ACT.

"We are excited about the upcoming enhancements to the College Prep Series," Mitchell said. "By offering the PRA assessment, we hope to help students best prepare for their college admissions exams by focusing on the exam that best highlights their strengths."

Companies and organizations supporting the series are The Princeton Review, The Southern Company, Atlanta Technical College, Hojeij Branded Foods, Georgia Beverage Association, The Scholarship Academy, the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library, Orange Business Services, and Hands on Atlanta.

Students interesting in registering for the series may call (800) 273-8439.
