DASANI® Blue Crew Rewarded 1,000 Atlanta Residents for Random Acts of Greenness

DASANI Celebrated its New PlantBottle® Packaging by Giving Back to Local Eco-Samaritans

The first 100 percent recyclable beverage packages made with plants were made readily available on April 4, 2011 to people across the U.S. To recognize the little things people do to live more sustainably, a DASANI Blue Crew attended two big events in Atlanta on April 16 and April 17 and thanked residents for partaking in eco-friendly activities. The local effort helped to celebrate the national launch of DASANI PlantBottle® packaging – a 100 percent recyclable bottle made of up to 30 percent plants.

More than 1,000 Atlanta residents were “caught,” by the DASANI Blue Crew, being environmental do-gooders.

The City of Atlanta Office of Planning is preparing to launch Round 3 of community meetings for the 2011 Comphrehensive Development Plan (CDP).  Share your thoughts, your insight, your vision for Atlanta's future and your neighborhood. 

Atlanta non-profits, civic and community groups, neighborhood associations, citizens and businesses are invited to attend the various community meetings planned in locations throughout the city. 

All meetings are from 6:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M.

ATLANTA (March 2, 2011) – The Northlake Community Alliance (NCA) and Northlake Mall are hosting a free Electronics Recycling Day event on Saturday, March 19 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Bring all your old TVs ($10 disposal fee), PCs, printers, microwave ovens, any other electronic devices and dry rechargeable batteries to the Northlake Mall parking lot near the Briarcliff Road entrance to be collected by the Electronics Recycling Service.
