"Southern Charm" Launch Party at Neiman's | Events
Title (Max 100 Characters)
Atlanta’s in-crowd gathered at the Neiman Marcus store inside Lenox Mall to celebrate the launch of Manhattan socialite, Tinsley Mortimer’s debut novel “Southern Charm”. The event was hosted by Emily Amy, the owner of Emily Amy Gallery and a founder of the Westside Arts District, along with luxury interior designer Courtney Giles. Guests enjoyed complimentary HPNOTIQ Harmonie signature cocktails and a few sweet treats.
The book follows Minty Davenport from her home in South Carolina to New York where she is the victim of vicious rumors, a marriage gone awry and naturally, the story is filled with fabulous fashions. "Southern Charm" gives readers access into the glamorous world of New York through the eyes of an outsider from the south.
While the book is fiction, it is inspired by Mortimer’s own life. She, like her character grew up in the south (Virginia) and made her way to the glittery streets of NYC. Mortimer quickly shot to stardom, becoming the latest “it girl”, fashion muse and subject of tabloid fodder. She has a line of handbags and clothing in Japan for Samantha Thavasa and she's a former reality show star (of the CW’s "High Society").
After a messy divorce and a few missteps in the press, Mortimer is now looking to expand her brand, her new novel, “Southern Charm” is only the beginning.
