ATLANTA -- The Atlanta International School Against Human Trafficking (AISAHT) will sponsor a charity fashion show Monday, Dec. 8, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the school, which is located at 2890 North Fulton Drive, Atlanta. Admission is $10.

According to the FBI, Atlanta is one of 14 cities in the United States with the highest incidence of prostitution involving children. Today a growing number of children are exploited for profit or for the basic needs of life: food, shelter or clothing.

Composed of roughly 30 students at the Atlanta International School, the group works to spread awareness locally as well as internationally about human trafficking. AISAHT raises funds to support anti-human trafficking organizations such as Colombianitos and youthSpark. They also rigorously petition to get laws passed through the state legislature to ensure the safety of victims and increased prosecution for sex trafficking offenders.

Proceeds from the Charity Fashion Show will go directly to a partner foundation of AISAHT, Colombianitos. The organization benefits more than 4,300 children in six communities in Colombia. Their programs help motivate the children to get an education and build strong positive values and life experiences.
