ATLANTA – On February 24th, the Macy’s at Lenox Square Mall will welcome Amy Barnett, EBONY magazine Editor-in-Chief, as she hosts the fashion retrospective and provides insight about Mrs. Johnson’s extraordinary life and her significant contributions to the beauty and fashion industries.  The exhibit will showcase haute couture designs from Mrs. Johnson’s personal vault that were featured in the famed Ebony Fashion Fair runway shows.    

This Black History Month, Macy’s and Johnson Publishing Company are celebrating the life and work of Eunice Walker Johnson, visionary and the creator of Ebony Fashion Fair—the World’s Largest Traveling Fashion Show.

Fashion Fair Cosmetics invites customers to sample the limited edition For the Love of Color lipstick collection – inspired by Mrs. Johnson’s passion for vibrant hues.

"Easy Hardscaping" is a free crash course that will showcase the best (and worst) ideas in building patios, walks and walls for your home landscape. It will be held at the MOSAIC office, located at 2358 Perimeter Park Drive, Suite 300.

Learn the Basics of the City of Atlanta Neighborhood Stabilization Program - Sat., Feb. 5

The City of Atlanta’s Department of Planning and Community Development has the responsibility for administrative oversight, management and implementation of the city’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP). 

It is designed to help revitalize neighborhoods and address the national foreclosure crisis.  NSP grants allow municipalities to purchase abandoned, bank-owned foreclosures to help stabilize communities hit hardest by the crisis.  

On Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, the city's Office of Housing is hosting a public information session.  The community is invited to attend the free event.  Here are the details:
