Macy’s Pink Pig Opens at Lenox Square, October 30th

Priscilla’s back! The legendary Macy’s Pink Pig train will open on Saturday, October 30th at 10:00 a.m.  One of Atlanta’s most beloved holiday traditions is heading back to Lenox Square Mall.  From its 1953 debut as a children’s ride at the downtown Rich’s to its brief stint at the Egleston Children’s Hospital Festival of Trees, five generations of Atlantans have ridden the pink pig, to mark the coming holiday season.

This year, the Macy’s Pink Pig ride and tent will open to the public on the upper level of the mall’s parking deck.

Priscilla – the original Pink Pig – began, in 1953, as a monorail along the ceiling of the downtown Atlanta Rich’s store, giving children the experience of “flying over” the toy department. And In 2003, Priscilla, the Pink Pig was re-introduced to a new generation of Atlantans.
