Journalist, doctor added to Berry Board of Visitors | People
ROME, Ga. -- The Berry College Board of Visitors recently welcomed two new members.
Maria Saporta and Dr. Brandon Bushnell were appointed to the board last month.
Bushnell is an orthopedic and sports medicine doctor at Harbin Clinic in Rome. He is involved with a number of notable organizations, including Floyd Medical Center, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Berry College Athletics and the Rome Braves. Dr. Bushnell majored in religious studies at Vanderbilt University and completed his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia.
Saporta is founder and editor of the SaportaReport, a column published in the Atlanta Business Chronicle. She is vice president of the Alliance Francaise d'Atlanta and serves on the executive committee of the Atlanta Press Cub. Saporta holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Boston University and a master's degree in urban studies from Georgia State University.
The Berry College Board of Visitors is designed to bring together a diverse group of people to provide guidance and perspective on mjaor strategic issues, according to the college.
