t’s been a wonderful year in Atlanta dining and this year there were some difficult decisions for us to make selecting the Top 10 Atlanta Restaurants for 2010. While we had the pleasure of enjoying many fine meals throughout the year, the following restaurants distinguished themselves in both food quality and service capturing not only a spot in the Top 10 Atlanta Restaurants for 2010  but also a place in our hearts.

Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse will be open on Friday, December 24, and will be serving an incredible five-course seafood menu, known to many Italians as the “Feast of the Seven Fishes.”

It is a Catholic custom to avoid meat on a Vigil, such as Christmas Eve. The “Feast of the Seven Fishes” is a tradition that originated in Southern Italy and is now an Italian-American meal that typically consists of seven different seafood dishes.

According to whatnowatalanta.com, Kristen Hard, founder and owner of Cacao Atlanta Chocolate Co., is one of Atlanta’s only true chocolate makers, making fresh chocolate here in Atlanta from bean to bar.

Uncle Julio’s Fine Mexican Food is giving Jingle Jog 5k and Junior race participants $10 off their check at either of the two Atlanta-area restaurant locations on Saturday, December 11.  Guests must show their Jingle Jog race bib in order to qualify, and only one race discount can be used per check.  This offer is valid at the restaurants on December 11, 2010 only.   Additionally, Uncle Julio’s will provide a $25 gift card for the winner of each running category and $10 gift cards to every member of the largest team and the team who donates the most toys.

America’s Night Out for Gulf Seafood

On Wednesday, December 1st, three Atlanta area restaurants will participate in the “America’s Night Out for Gulf Seafood”. This national day-long celebration will kick off in New Orleans at 10:00 a.m. and continue until noon at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel on Orleans Ave.

Aria, JCT Kitchen and Bar and Woodfire Grill in Atlanta will all participate while demonstrating their support and using Gulf Coast seafood. Even the nation’s capitol will participate by serving Gulf Seafood in the White House on Wednesday.

Gulf seafood is a vital part of the outstanding cuisine in Louisiana.

Barks and Boo(ze) in Buckhead

“Bark Crawls for Booze Hounds”, a bar crawl for furry friends and their human parents will take place every Wednesday during the months of October and November.

Party people and pet owners, alike, can rest assured, there’s finally some Halloween action for every yuppie and their puppy.
