ATLANTA -- All the road construction around Metro Atlanta this weekend may give you flashbacks to weekday rush hour traffic, particularly on the Perimeter near Spaghetti Junction.

1 right lane - Traffic will be paced

Alternate: Exit onto Towne Lake Pkwy. (Exit 8) and turn right. Follow Towne Lake Pkwy. to S. Main St. and turn left. Follow S. Main St. across the Little River where it becomes Old Hwy. 5. Follow Old Hwy. 5 to to sixes Road and turn left. Follow Sixes Road back to I-575 Northbound.

Fatal wrecks pile up over holiday weekend

ATLANTA -- The Georgia State Patrol says 19 people were killed on the state's highways during the July 4 holiday period.

GSP says there were 17 deadly accidents from 6 p.m. Friday and midnight Monday.

The patrol says 11 people were killed in highway accidents during the July 4 holiday period a year ago.

Alternate: Exit onto Forest Pkwy (Exit 237) and follow Westbound to Old Dixie Hwy. and turn right. Follow Old Dixie Hwy. across I-75 where it becomes Tara Blvd. Follow Tara Blvd. to Mt Zion Road and turn left. Follow Mt Zion Road to Mt. Zion Blvd. Turn left on Mt. Zion Blvd and follow back to I-75 Southbound.
