ATLANTA -- A reported Thursday morning hostage situation in Buckhead turned out to be a hoax.

Atlanta Police reported that a 19-year-old woman sent text messages to friends, claiming that she was being held against her will by armed men in a home on Darlington Road NE near Piedmont Road. However, police soon realized that the woman was never in any danger, and that she lied about being held captive.
