ATLANTA (WXIA) -- Developer OliverMcMillan purchased the dormant Streets of Buckhead project from Ben Carter Properties in early 2011, after Carter's project to build a "Rodeo Drive of the South" stalled amid the real estate crash.

The original plans had moved well forward in the former Buckhead bar and entertainment district with a lot in the way of construction when movement stopped on the project.

OliverMcMillan made a number of changes to Ben Carter Properties' original design, shifting away from the luxury nature of the project in favor of a mixed-use community that would fit within the bounds of the existing Buckhead Village area.
