Phipps Plaza unwraps holiday magic with new decor

ATLANTA -- The holiday season has officially hit the corner of Peachtree Street and Lenox Road, and Phipps Plaza is poised to spread the seasonal cheer. To complement its festive Court of the South where Santa parks his sleigh each year, the Southeast’s premier shopping destination is proud to display new holiday décor that truly captures the essence of the holidays and helps shoppers celebrate the most wonderful time of the year.

Phipps Plaza’s new décor features traditional holiday colors and highlights the property’s new interior improvements as part of its ongoing, extensive renovation. White garland, twinkling white LED lights and festive ornaments of green, red and silver will accompany the fresh new look and feel of the mall. Upgraded LED lighting, new paint and warm wood accents are among the major improvements shoppers will enjoy this holiday season.

Located at Phipps Plaza’s main entrance is a 24-foot-tall magnificent reindeer … the heart of the new holiday décor. Embellished with 21,540 LED lights, it took five men and six hours to install this reindeer. He was crafted in Montreal, Calif. from a 3D design program and plans to proudly prance alongside Peachtree Street throughout the holiday shopping season.

Families near and far have begun celebrating their annual holiday traditions, many of them beginning with Phipps Plaza’s iconic Santa Claus. For additional holiday events and entertainment at Phipps Plaza, please visit simon.com/mall/phipps-plaza/news-and-events
