ATLANTA -- Chick-fil-A will host a Breakfast on Us promotion at select restaurants all next week.

From Sept. 9-14, Chick-fil-A customers can receive a free breakfast item with a valid voucher, which can be reserved and downloaded at chick-fil-aforbreakfast.com.

Free entrées include:

* Chicken biscuit
* Spicy chicken biscuit
* Sausage biscuit
* Chick-n-Minis (3)
* Chicken, egg and cheese bagel
* Bacon, egg and cheese biscuit

ATLANTA -- July 30 is National Cheesecake Day, and the Cheesecake Factory knows just how to celebrate.

All day Tuesday, Cheesecake Factory customers can take advantage of half-price slices of cheesecake at every U.S. location.

The Cheesecake Factory recently unveiled its latest creation: the Toasted Marshmallow S'mores Galore cheesecake, which features chocolate ganache, Honey Maid graham crackers, whipped cream and toasted marshmallow.

Dante's Down the Hatch to close Tuesday

ATLANTA -- A Buckhead landmark will close its doors for good Tuesday.

After 43 years on Peachtree Road, Dante's Down the Hatch is saying goodbye to its famous location.

The eclectic eatery is known for its fondue and crocodiles.

Owner Dante Stephensen said he can no longer justify paying the high property taxes on the restaurant. He received $8 million to sell it.

Developers plan to tear down the building and build a new apartment tower.

According to the Dante's Down the Hatch website, the restaurant is looking for a new location.

ATLANTA -- The restaurant lineup for the 12th annual Taste of Atlanta festival is widespread, well-known and – most importantly – mouthwatering.

More than 70 of Atlanta’s most coveted and tastiest eateries have already signed on to participate in this year’s festival, which will take place October 25-27 in Midtown at Tech Square. From city classics such as Ray’s On The River and Max Lager’s to buzzworthy newcomers including Lure, King+ Duke and Saltyard, Taste of Atlanta will once again spotlight the incredible energy and diversity of the city’s restaurant scene.

ATLANTA -- Restaurateur Jenny Levison, best known for founding popular Buckhead eatery Souper Jenny, has announced her next endeavor: a juice bar.

Juicy Jenny Community Juice Bar + Superfood Emporium will open this fall in the same shopping center as Souper Jenny. It will feature six cold-pressed juices and six smoothies with fun names like Do I Have Kale in My Teeth?, and Everything But the Vodka.

"I envision Juicy Jenny having the comfortable, approachable feel of your favorite neighborhood coffee shop, complete with Wi-Fi access," Levison said in a statement. "We want the experience to be approachable, so that everyone from novice juicers to experts can feel free to ask questions and learn as much as they want about the benefits of incorporating juicing into your lifestyle."

In addition to juice, Juicy Jenny will offer breakfast items, protein bars and a takeout area.

Souper Jenny and the future Juicy Jenny are located at 56 East Andrews Drive.

You have to be comfortable driving around curves and getting a little light headed now and then, but the view is picture perfect every single mile. Then once you get down to Helen, make sure to take your appetite with you because the food is delicious and the sceneray is a place you want to make sure you take in. 

The last time I went down to Helen we went Horse Back Riding and Tubing. The tubing was even $5. Fun for $5. That is what I always look for, or free if I can get it.

ATLANTA (June 14, 2013) – Join Chef Ford Fry as he hosts the fifth annual JCT. Kitchen Attack of the Killer Tomato Festival on Sunday, July 21 from 1-5 p.m. This year, more than 40 of the South’s top chefs along with 15 skilled mixologists and over 30 farmers are teaming up to create the tastiest tomato concoctions and to help raise money for Georgia Organics.

“Attack of the Killer Tomato Festival is absolutely one of my favorite events,” says Ford Fry, owner/chef of JCT. Kitchen & Bar, No. 246 and The Optimist. “I love seeing the creativity of all the participants and I’m looking forward to seeing what this year’s crop of talent comes up with,” he adds.

Tickets are now on sale for $55 per person and $50 for Georgia Organics members and can be purchased online through Xorbia. Starting Monday, July 1, all ticket prices will increase to $70 per person. A total of 1,400 tickets are available for attendees. Last year’s festival brought in close to $26,000 for Georgia Organics.
